Dion Opposed the Atlantic Accord

Today Liberal leader Stéphane Dion pretends to care about the Atlantic Accord. However, Dion's record was clear - he fought tooth and nail AGAINST Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador receiving any benefits at all from their offshore resources. How does Dion explain his record?:

Layton Playing Politics on Equalization

Today NDP Leader Jack Layton attacked the Conservative government on the issue of equalization. Yet the NDP Premier of Manitoba supports the Conservative government's efforts. Even the Nova Scotia NDP's own Finance Critic said that he supported the Conservative government's efforts! In fact, Layton himself suggested that provinces shouldn't be given any additional funding, as they couldn't be trusted to spend it properly. Why the hypocrisy?:

Dion's Vision Didn't Include Atlantic Canada

Liberal leader Stéphane Dion is resorting to the same old Liberal fear mongering, trying to spin that the Conservative government ignores Atlantic Canada (CTV, Question Period, June 10, 2007). Yet this comes from the same man who, when laying out his leadership vision, actually forgot that Atlantic Canada even existed as part of the country! The West, Ontario, Quebec and the North were all included in Dion?s vision ? but no Atlantic Canadians. How does Dion explain his omission?:
